May 1, 2026 - Howdy Homemade is a Lee's Summit business that employs people with developmental disabilities and gives them the opportunity to participate in the workforce.  Jon visited the ice cream shop and got to visit with some of the heroes and try out some of the ice cream.  Learn more about Howdy Homemade by watching the video.  

November 12, 2025 - It was great to visit with our new Jackson County executive, Phil Levota, with Governor Mike Kehoe.  Mr. Levota graciously welcomed us to the county office and for an hour, we discussed ways that state and county can work together to improve the lives of Jackson County residents.  Click on the picture to view the story.

October 31, 2025 - I enjoyed celebrating the grand opening of the diverging diamond intersection at the View High exit off of I-470.  This is the entrance to Paragon Star, a great soccer facility where many of our kids practice and play games.  It will also be used by teams during the World Cup.

October 23, 2024 - Rep. Patterson visits Voy Spears Elementary School, one of 8 Missouri schools that was recently named a National Blue Ribbon School.  Rep. Patterson was joined by the commissioner of the Dept. of Elementary Education, Dr. Karla Eslinger.  Prinicipal Jennifer Ward and student leaders led Drs. Patterson and Eslinger on a tour of the school.

September 29, 2025 - I had the pleasure of touring Ultrax Aerospace Inc., a company based out of Lee's Summit.  Ultrax helps the U.S. military keep their helicopters performing at their best while saving costs on repairs.  It was also nice to get the tour from neighbor and constituent Dave Petet.

September 27, 2025 - Lee's Summit Oktoberfest is always one of the highlights of the fall season.  The Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce always does a great job with the festivities.  We had to work to keep the bratwursts coming off the grill to meet the demand.

September 23, 2024 - Dr. Patterson was a featured speaker at a town hall meeting about human and sex trafficking in Missouri.  The event was sponsored by Lee's Summit CARES.  Other attendees included State Rep. September 6, 2025 - 27 North is a Missouri business founded by Pavel Bosovik in Springfield.  I enjoyed learning about their process of manufacturing luxury expedition vehicles. Pavel's parents immigrated to the U.S. and he began his business out of their garage.

September 11, 2024 - Legislators officially finished the 2024 session of the General Assembly with their annual veto session.  KMBC followed Rep. Patterson around for the day.  Click here to view the story.

August 30, 2024 - Rep. Patterson and Sen. Mike Cierpiot attend the surprise ceremony to announce Mrs. Susanne Mitko as the recipient of a national C-SPAN Teacher Fellowship at Bernard Campbell Elementary School.  Mrs. Mitko is a 30-year educator and 2009 Missouri Teacher of the Year.

July 16, 2024 - Rep. Patterson attends the ground breaking for the new automotive institute at Metroplitan Community College-Longview.  The automotive institute will enhance the automotive technology training currently offered at the facility.
