About Jon Patterson
State Representative Jon Patterson currently represents parts of Lee's Summit in the Missouri General Assembly. First elected in 2018, Rep. Patterson has quickly risen up the ranks in Jefferson City and currently serves as Majority Leader in the House of Representatives.
A native of Jackson County, Jon attended the University of Missouri, where he earned both his bachelor's and medical degrees. After surgical residency at University Health in Kansas City, Jon was a practicing general surgeon in eastern Jackson County before entering politics. He currently lives in Lee's Summit with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Leah and Andrew.

September 23, 2024 - Dr. Patterson was a featured speaker at a town hall meeting about human and sex trafficking in Missouri. The event was sponsored by Lee's Summit CARES. August 30, 2024 - Rep. Patterson and Sen. Mike Cierpiot attend the surprise ceremony to announce Mrs. Susanne Mitko as the recipient of a national C-SPAN Teacher Fellowship at Bernard Campbell Elementary School. Mrs. Mitko is a 30-year educator and 2009 Missouri Teacher of the Year.
July 16, 2024 - Rep. Patterson attends the ground breaking for the new automotive institute at Metroplitan Community College-Longview. The automotive institute will enhance the automotive technology training currently offered at the facility.
June 7, 2024 - Rep. Patterson speaks to District 2 of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association in Lee's Summit. Maintaining the PSRS, adjusting cost of living increases, and allowing retired teachers to work more in their former school district were some of the issues supported by Rep. Patterson.
